Website Compliance Checker

Enter your website address and get a scored report against the UK rules every business site has to meet: tracking that fires before consent, the privacy notice and its complaints section, company details, SSL and security headers, an out of date WordPress, and accessibility basics. Free, instant, no sign-up.

How it works

Three quick steps

  1. 1 Enter the address of your website, or one you look after.
  2. 2 We read the page and its privacy notice, and check them against UK cookie, data protection, security and accessibility rules.
  3. 3 You get a score out of 100 and a plain-English list of what to fix. We can fix it for a fixed price if you want.
Questions

Good to know

Start with four things: no advertising or tracking tags load before the visitor agrees, a privacy notice is linked from every page, that notice explains how to complain to you and to the ICO, and your company details are shown. This checker tests all four in seconds. A full audit then looks at every page, your forms and your data handling.

You need consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary, and advertising tags such as the Meta Pixel or Google Ads always need it. Since February 2026 the Data (Use and Access) Act exempts analytics used only for aggregate statistics, as long as you explain it and offer a simple way to opt out. If your site uses no tracking at all, you may not need a banner.

Since 5 February 2026 the ICO can fine up to £17.5 million or 4% of global turnover for breaches of the cookie rules (PECR), the same level as UK GDPR. Before that the cookie maximum was £500,000.

Three things affect almost every UK site. Cookie fines rose to £17.5 million in February 2026. From 19 June 2026 every business must run a data protection complaints process and say so in its privacy notice. And in August 2026 the EHRC Services Code confirmed the Equality Act applies to websites, with WCAG 2.2 AA as the benchmark.

No. It is an automated screen of the page you enter and its privacy notice, which catches the common problems quickly. It reads the page source without running scripts, so it can miss a tag added later by JavaScript. For anything that matters to your business, check with a solicitor or ask us for a full audit.

Yes. Leave your email after the scan and we will send a fixed price to fix the issues on your current site. If your site is old or hard to change, we can rebuild it from £500 plus £100 a month for hosting and care.
