Recycled Software
A modern e-commerce store for Recycled Software, selling genuine pre-owned Microsoft licences with instant digital delivery, a full self-service account area, and an AI support agent that answers grounded in each customer's own orders.
The challenge
Recycled Software sells genuine pre-owned Microsoft licences, from Office and Windows through to Windows Server and SQL Server, at a fraction of new-licence prices. Selling licence keys online sounds simple until you look at everything sitting behind the "buy" button. Keys have to reach the customer the instant they pay. Invoices and VAT have to be right. Business buyers want volume pricing without asking for a quote. And support questions need real answers about a real order, quickly. Their previous store was holding the business back.
What we built
We designed and built Recycled Software a modern storefront and customer portal on Laravel, re-platformed from their old store and rebuilt around instant digital delivery.
- A content-managed storefront. The whole site is assembled from a library of reusable content blocks, so marketing pages, product grids, buying guides and reviews can be arranged and edited without a developer. Product search is instant.
- Instant licence delivery. The moment a payment clears, the platform allocates the licence keys to the order and delivers them automatically, ready to retrieve in the customer's account. If stock is briefly short it handles partial delivery and tops the order up as soon as more arrives.
- A proper account area. Customers get their full order history, downloadable VAT invoices and self-service licence retrieval in one place, along with GDPR-friendly data export and account deletion on demand.
- Volume pricing for businesses. Buyers ordering in bulk see quantity-based pricing applied automatically, with no back-and-forth.
- A fast support desk. Customers raise and track tickets by category, attach files and get email updates at every step, while staff work them from a full back office.
An AI support agent, grounded in real orders
The standout is the support agent. It is powered by Varsuite AI, and crucially it does not answer from thin air. Every reply is grounded in that specific customer's own account: their orders, their licences and their ticket history, and nothing else.
For common questions it can resolve the issue there and then, and it hands straight over to a person the moment anything touches billing, refunds, security or anything it is not certain about. It is built with strong guardrails so it stays on topic and only ever acts within what it is allowed to do.
A full admin back office
Behind the store, the team runs everything from one control panel: orders and fulfilment, licence stock imported in bulk, a support desk with saved canned responses, and live sales dashboards covering daily and monthly sales, top products, stock levels and fulfilment status. There is a complete log of every email the system sends and an inbox for contact enquiries, and granular permissions mean each staff member sees only what their role needs.
A content-managed storefront, instant automated licence delivery, a self-service account area and an AI support agent grounded in each customer's real orders, all on a modern Laravel stack.
The result
Recycled Software moved off an ageing store onto a fast, modern platform that does the heavy lifting on its own. Customers get their licences the second they pay, find answers without waiting, and manage everything themselves. The team gets a single back office with the numbers in front of them, and an AI agent that clears the routine questions so people can spend their time on the ones that genuinely need a human.
